Apart from 2020, when the Covid pandemic ruled out any camping, the Troop has held a long summer camp every year since its inception in 1933. Even during the war years 1939 – 1945 a two-week camp was held at Gorhambury Park, near St Albans, where the School was evacuated during those years. Up until the year 2001 camping was usually on a farm field, but since then we have opted for Scout-owned campsites with such luxuries as toilets and showers. By clicking on the links, you can find out about all our summer camps over the years, with more detailed information about the more recent ones.
