The activities this year included sailing at Fairlop Waters; 4 x 4 driving, archery, laser tag and paddle boarding at Stubbers; and air rifles and low ropes on site. Roz, the warden, returned from holiday in time to set up a film show for us on a rainy Saturday evening.
The weather was unsettled for most of the time, but luckily the sun shone on the last morning and we were able to pack away all the canvas dry before leaving.
The day out was by Underground train to Greenwich, where the Scouts visited the Cutty Sark and the Observatory.
This year’s new menus were Lamb and chick pea curry, Pork and orange chop suey, Eton mess, and Chicken paprika. Cider sausages and beef olives featured as usual and maintain their popularity.
Thanks go to our hard-working team of Leaders, who made it all possible, and our Young Leaders who gave much support to the Patrols.
